After much consideration, and careful study of the President’s “Guidance for Governors” proposal from yesterday, I am strongly urging Governor Brown and especially county commissioners and city officials to open up Oregon via “Phase One” of the guidance document released by the White House yesterday. I have copied “Phase One” by each page including the “All Phases” guidance to start with. I believe, based on all of the evidence I’ve read and been told on numerous conference calls, speaking with labs and looking at the statistics of Oregon’s COVID-19 deaths and positive cases, that “Phase One” can be achieved if done carefully and correctly as the President and his advisers have instructed. Please read the attached copies of the guidance. If you really want to make a difference, then email your county commissioners (I have people from all over the state on this page, so you’ll have to find yours specifically) and the Governor’s office, telling them you want “Phase One” implemented. Thank you for your patience as I’ve been working on this. I know that there will be some that disagree…for differing reasons. I am only trying to do my best with the information that I have. If you are in the “stay closed” camp…bless you, Stay Home! If you are in the “fully open” camp….bless you… do what you feel is best.
