On May 5, 2020 Casey’s Restaurant decided to open their doors despite the Governor shutdown order, in order to save their family owned business, a business they purchased two years ago from their parents, who planned to use the money for their retirement.

Casey’s has decided they will fight the 14,000 fine they received for opening early, despite the Governors order, I asked if they had a Go Fund Me set up and was told no, they have decided not to ask the community for help at this time, I know they will receive help through patrons such as myself and my husband who plan to eat there tonight.

If you are from Roseburg or surrounding area, consider showing your support by eating at their restaurant, support those small businesses who are just trying to survive, we are all in this together.

Best Wishes to Casey’s Restaurant in their battle against the state, the majority of Douglas county is with you, and supports your decision!
